We should all take a moment and ask ourselves, "what fuels our lives?" Are we motivated by pressure, fear, or perhaps responsibilities? The bible urges us to allow faith in God to be the motivating force, or fuel, of our lives. There's an empowerment that comes as a result of allowing faith to flow into our lives. It's this strength that God provides through faith that enables us to overcome the challenges we face in our lives.

As believers we often desire the manifest presence of God, because what comes with that is the miracle power and glory of the Lord. But it's the abiding presence of God, the daily fellowship that He provides, that sustains us through every day of our lives.

It's extremely important to realize that how we preceive Jesus Christ will directly impact how we receive Him, how we respect Him, and for Christians, how we represent Him to others. The New Testament provides eight portraits of Christ, which present the complete picture of who He is. The New Testament begins in the book of Matthew with a list of "begots" - 39 instances of the genealogy of Jesus. Most Christians would not consider these scriptures among the most inspiring in the Bible. Can anything of practical value be found here? Yes, because if nothing else, these scriptures show that God is a God of detail.
