Q: What are the times for your services?
A: You can get information by entering your E-mail address and the information you are requesting in the mailbox on each ministry page. If you want information mailed include your mailing address. You can also reach the church by phone at 631-265-2485. Q: Does the church have a bookstore? A: The church has a complete Christian book and gift store on the grounds. For hours of operation check the "Resource" tab on this website. Q: Do you provide referrals to Christian counseling? A: Yes, we provide both pastoral counseling and referrals on a confidential basis. For further information call the church office office at 265-2485. Q: Does your church offer marriage counseling? A: Marriage counselling is available at the church. We also run seminars for couples planning to be married as well as those who are already married. Click on the "Ministries" tab to view programs we have for couples. Q: Do you also provide support groups for Grief Care/Divorce Care? A: Programs in these areas are offered, click on the "Ministries" tab for more details. Q: Do you have simultaneous Spanish translation? A: Yes for Sunday morning services. Headsets are available at the Ministries Counter in the narthex of the sanctuary. Q: Is the church handicap accessible? A: Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the sanctuary. Q: Do you have to be a member to take part in any of the ministries of the church? A: All church ministries are available to any interested parties, however, our ministry leaders must be church members. Q: Does the church have a youth group? A: Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle's youth group, Planet Impact, can be found on the home page by clicking on its icon "Planet Impact." Q: Does the chuch have a pre-teen group? A: Yes, click on the "Childrens Ministry" icon on the home page. Q: Does the chuch tape any of its services? A: Yes, tapes of the Sunday services may be obtained in the bookstore. Q: How large is the church? A: God has blessed the church with significant attendance, but we have maintained a friendly open atmosphere. Q: Do you have a choir? A: God has blessed us with an adult and children's choir. Q: Can your facility be rented? A: It is not our practice to rent the facilities. Q: How is a wedding arranged through the church? A: Call the church office if you are planning a wedding. Pre-marital counseling is required of all couples being married in our church. Click on the "Ministries" tab for further details. Q: Can the church facilities be used for a wedding reception? A: Church facilities may be used by church members on an availability basis. Call the church office for details. Q: What are the hours of the church office? A: Regular business hours are 9am-5pm EST. Voice mail is provided after regular business hours (631)265-2485. Q: How would I arrange for my baby to be dedicated? A: To schedule baby dedications call the church office. Q: How can I become a member of Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle? A: All prospective members must attend a membership class which gives information on our beliefs and organization. Once completed, prospective members must meet with a member in leadership for an interview and then be approved at a church meeting. Call the church office to schedule these events.
